  Most young children spend time in care outside of their home, making  in-home and facility care settings one of the best places to reach young children with obesity prevention efforts.

Daycare, after school and teaching facilities can implement practices and programs that support healthy eating and physical activity among young children, which can have positive lifestyle affects.

The key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight isn’t short-term dietary changes; it’s about a lifestyle that includes healthy eating and regular physical activity, as well as education and encouragement.
